Join us at the RSA for a special event celebrating the extraordinary life and legacy of Dame Caroline Haslett, a pioneering suffragette and advocate for women’s equality in employment. Dame Caroline was a trailblazer in promoting women’s roles in the workforce and the adoption of new technologies to empower women beyond domestic duties.
Her many firsts include being the founder and first director of the Electrical Association for Women in 1924 and serving as the first female member of the RSA Council from 1941-1957. In 1941, she delivered a groundbreaking paper, Women in Industry, calling for a change in societal attitudes toward women and the removal of barriers to their employment.
